WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University's men's and women's swimming & diving teams head to East Meadow, New York for the BIG EAST Championships on February 23-26 at the Nassau Aquatics Center.
MEET INFORMATION
- The four-day meet begins on Wednesday with swimming preliminaries starting at 3:45 p.m. and the women's 3-meter diving prelims at 4:00 p.m. The finals for all three events will begin at 6 p.m.
- Prelims will start at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with evening finals starting at 5:45 p.m.

ABOUT THE HOYAS
- Both sides have come close to winning their first BIG EAST title over the last eight seasons, being the runner up in six of the last eight championship meets.
- The GU men and women have combined to win 11 dual meets this season.
- Georgetown registered four BIG EAST weekly honors, including two from Drew Carbone and one from both Emilie Ginovker and Kyle Maziarz.
- The Hoyas will look to have another dominant performance at this year's meet, hoping to add to the 24 gold medals and 49 program records shattered since 2018.
LAST BIG EAST CHAMPIONSHIP FOR THE HOYAS - 2020
- The men's and women's teams both finished in second, trailing Xavier and Villanova, respectively.
- Georgetown brought home 11 gold medals and smashed 19 program records over the four-day stretch.
- Drew Carbone will look to win his fourth BIG EAST Male Most Outstanding Swimmer after winning a trio of relay titles and three individual golds in 2020, including a record-setting 200-yard backstroke.
- The Hoyas had 14 women and nine men earn All-BIG EAST honors for their success in the conference championships.
