WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University men's basketball team (6-21, 0-16 BIG EAST) returns to Washington, D.C., to take on the No. 21/20 UConn Huskies (20-7, 11-5 BIG EAST) at Capital One Arena on Sunday, February 27. Tipoff is scheduled for noon. The Class of 2022 will be celebrated in a pregame ceremony on the court.

ABOUT THE HOYAS
- The Hoyas are coming off a 68-65 setback against DePaul on Thursday. Aminu Mohammed flirted with a double-double, recording a team-high 18 points and nine boards to go along with four steals.
- Donald Carey recorded his 16th-straight game in double figures, scoring 15 points and hitting three triples.
- Jalin Billingsley recorded a career-high 10 points on 4-of-8 shooting from the floor and a pair of treys to go with three blocks.
- The Hoyas outscored DePaul in the paint (32-30) while recording more steals (11-10). The Blue & Gray shot 40.6% (13-32) from the floor in the second half while totaling 38.3% (23-60) for the game.
- The Blue & Gray has four players averaging double figures: Carey (14 ppg), Mohammed (14 ppg), Dante Harris (11.6 ppg) and Kaiden Rice (11.5 ppg).
- Over his span of 16-straight games in double figures, Carey is averaging 15.0 ppg, 44.8% shooting (80-180) and 41.4% from distance (44-108).

- UConn has won its last four contests, winning at St. John's before downing Seton Hall, Xavier and No. 8/8 Villanova at home.
- R.J. Cole leads the Huskies with 16.0 ppg while shooting 33.6%% from distance (47-140) and adding a team-high 4.3 apg. Adama Sanogo adds 15.3 ppg and grabs a team-leading 8.5 rpg.
- UConn blocks 6.6 shots per game (1st - BE, 2nd NCAA) and has held opponents to 39.7% shooting on the year. The Huskies pull down a conference-best 13.9 offensive rebounds per game to contribute to their 40.9 rpg (1st - BE, 6th - NCAA).
ABOUT THE MATCHUP
- Sunday marks the 70th all-time meeting between GU and UConn, with the Hoyas holding a 36-33 advantage in the overall series. Georgetown has a 22-9 home record against the Huskies.
- GU and UConn have split the last 10 meetings with an even 5-5 record, but the Hoyas have yet to get a win since the Huskies returned to the BIG EAST Conference at the beginning of the 2020-21 season. In a matchup at Gampel Pavilion earlier this season, a trio of Hoyas were in double figures in Mohammed (15), Collin Holloway (11) and Carey (10) as the Hoyas lost 96-73.
- In the last game at Capital One Arena, the Hoyas came away with a 72-69 win (January 14, 2017). L.J. Peak scored 21 points, grabbed seven rebounds and had four assists to lead the Hoyas, while Rodney Pryor finished with 15 points and seven rebounds.
