Men’s Rowing Continues Spring Season

WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University men's rowing team is set to compete in two sets of races this Saturday. The lightweight squad will be on the road at The National Collegiate Lightweight Invitational on Saturday at Overpeck Park in Leonia, N.J. The heavyweight squad will be on the Potomac River to take on crosstown rival George Washington University.
 

National Collegiate Lightweight Invitational

  • National Collegiate Lightweight Invitational will be the largest collection of lightweight rowing programs in any collegiate regatta this year. 

  • The competing teams include: UC Berkeley, Columbia, Delaware, Florida Tech, Georgetown, Harvard, Iona, MIT, Mercyhurst, Penn and Princeton.

  • This event will be live streamed through a subscription on ESPN+. The morning races will begin at 8 a.m. and will be streamed here. The afternoon races will also be streamed live on ESPN+ and can be accessed by clicking here
     

Heavyweight Race vs George Washington

  • The heavyweights will participate in a 2000-meter race at 7:45 a.m. 

  • The second varsity race is slated for 8 a.m. followed by 4x 750-meter pieces following a scrimmage format.
