CAYCE, S.C. – The Georgetown University women's tennis team took down #11 Providence (5-12, 0-4 BE) Thursday morning in the first round of the BIG EAST Championship Presented by Jeep in Cayce, South Carolina. The #6 Hoyas (9-12, 4-3 BE) took the match in just 108 minutes after clinching the doubles point and claiming victory in three-straight singles matches.
The Hoyas are scheduled to face #3 Xavier (11-9, 2-1 BE) at the Cayce Tennis and Fitness Center on Friday, April 22 at 4:30 p.m.
