WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's men's lacrosse team scored the most points against a BIG EAST foe in program history with a 23-6 victory against visiting St. John's on Saturday afternoon. The win ties the eighth-most goals scored in a game for the Hoyas as the Blue & Gray improves to 12-1 overall and 4-0 in league competition.
 
Hoya Highlights

• Dylan Watson led the Hoyas with four goals and an assist, TJ Haley posted three goals to go with two assists while Connor Morin recorded a hat trick as well.
• Declan McDermott became the 29th player in program history to reach the 100 career point mark with his lone goal of the game.
• Graham Bundy Jr. had two goals and an assist, Aidan Carrol and Cade Caggiano both scored twice and Mason Bonnie, Hoth Matheis and Brandon Meaux each had a goal and an assist.
• Connor Humiston, Cade MacLeod and Zack Pacheco all scored lone goals on the day as 13 different Hoyas found the back of the net.
• Nate Gentile dished out a pair of assists while Will Godine, Wallace Halpert, Dylan Hess, Alex Mazzone, Colin Munro, Tommy Sopko and Alex Trippi each had lone helpers as well.
• The Hoyas went 26 for 33 (.788) at the faceoff 'X' with James Reilly and Matthew Riley both going 11 for 13 (.846) and Carson Milburn winning 4 of 7 (.571) on the day.
• Reilly added a game-high nine ground balls while Riley had six.
• Defensively, the Hoyas were credited with 11 caused turnovers with Will Bowen credited with two despite playing just the first half and Halpert adding another pair.
• In goal, Owen McElroy hauled in six saves and allowed just two goals in 30 minutes of action. Michael Scharfenberger added another seven saves in relief while Todd Kennedy Jr. closed out the majority of the fourth quarter with three saves.

St. John's Notes

• The Red Storm fall to 2-11 overall and 0-4 in BIG EAST action.
• Jonathan Huber led SJU with three goals while Brian Kelly added a goal with three assists.
• Corey Hall had three caused turnovers to lead the Johnnies' defense.
• In goal, Kaden Quirk had 13 saves in the loss.

Of Note

• Watson moves into a tie for 16th place all-time with Mike Hammer ('03) and Joe Callahan ('94) on the career scoring list with 130 points.
• Bundy moves past Kevin Noonan ('94) and Mike Henehan ('01) for 23rd place all-time in career points with 112.
• Mazzone moves past Brennan Bicknese for third place all-time with 49 career caused turnovers.
