WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University men's tennis team competed in the Orange Lawn Invitational over the weekend. Head Coach
Freddy Mesmer sent four athletes to compete against Princeton and the University of Buffalo.
The Results
- On the first day of competition, sophomores Akira Morgenstern and Adhvyte Sharma put up the Hoyas' lone victory 8-5 in a doubles match against Buffalo.
- The following day, the Hoyas still came up winless against Princeton. Sharma and Morgenstern lost 8-3 in doubles but they both posted a singles win against Buffalo. Morgenstern downed Buffalo's Mitsakos 6-2, 7-5, while Sharma won his match over Snaiders by a score of 2-6, 6-2, 6-1.
- The Hoyas had successful doubles results on the last day of competition. The sophomore duo secured a win over Princeton 8-5. Senior Kieran Foster and junior Derek Raskopf captured their first win over Buffalo 8-6.

The Hoyas will have three weeks off before they travel to Virginia for the Richmond Invitational from October 7-9.
