WASHINGTON – Graduate student Quinn Nicholson has been tabbed as BIG EAST Male Athlete of the Week for Cross Country as announced by the conference on Wednesday. The award follows the Spider Alumni Open in Mechanicsville, Va. where the Georgetown men's cross country team took first place in the race. Nicholson placed first in the field to help the Hoyas capture their first win of the 2022 campaign.

• The Painted Post, N.Y. native finished first overall at the Spider Alumni Open this past weekend. He ran in the 6K with a time of 17:31.0.
• This weekend's time was a new PR for Nicholson in the event.
• Nicholson placed 11th in the 8K last season at the BIG EAST Cross Country Championships and is poised for another stellar campaign.
• This was Nicholson's first time taking first overall in a collegiate event.
