Head Coach Dave Nolan
"I think today we paid the price for a slow start. We talked about coming out fast and trying to put them under pressure right away as it was a home game for us on the grass as they are a team that plays on turf at home. Unfortunately, we were sluggish in the early moments and they were dangerous, and they scored a good goal. After those first 15 minutes I thought we were really good, and the kids left so much on the field trying to get back and get a positive result out of it. We certainly would have loved to win the game but when you are down 1-0 with three minutes to go, at that point you will probably take a point. Today was a lesson we had to learn as in the BIG EAST, you can't give team's a start and today we gave Providence one and that is something we couldn't afford to do. I think over the course of the 90 minutes, I thought we were the better team and I thought we had the better chances even though they were dangerous at moments too. All we can do is learn from it and get ready for a tough road game at Marquette on Thursday before wrapping the regular season against Butler at home on Sunday."
