Hoyas Host Butler in Regular Season Finale

WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University women's soccer team is set to wrap up the regular season on Sunday afternoon as the Butler Bulldogs will visit Shaw Field. Georgetown clinched a berth into the BIG EAST Championships last week with a draw against Providence. Georgetown enters Sunday's contest with a 9-1-7 (5-0-4 BE) record after blanking Marquette 5-0 on Thursday evening.

ABOUT THE HOYAS
  • Georgetown blanked Marquette 5-0 on Thursday evening securing a top-three seed in the BIG EAST Championships for the Hoyas.
  • Five different Hoyas recorded a goal against Marquette which is a season-high for GU.
  • Allie Winstanley had a three-point performance on Thursday recording a goal and an assist in the second half of action.
  • Brianne Riley earned a nod to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday after scoring her second goal as a Hoya against Villanova last week.
  • Allie Augur recorded her tenth shutout of the season against Marquette. Augur is tied for second in the country in shutouts, second in the nation in save percentage (.909) and leads the country in goals-against average at .286 goals per game.
  • Julia Leas is set to make her 95th appearance as a Hoya on Sunday, just two shy of the program record 97 set by Marina Paul in 2016.

  • The Bulldogs enter the contest with a 5-6-6 (1-2-5 BE) record after drawing Seton Hall 2-2 on Thursday evening.
  • Talia Sommer leads the Bulldog offense with 16 points on five goals and six assists this season.
  • Anna Pierce has made 16 starts this season in goal for Butler. Pierce boasts a goals-against average of 1.10 and has three shutouts this season.
