Hoyas Ink Trio of Mulready, Sorber and Williams

WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University men's basketball team has announced the signing of Kayvaun Mulready, Thomas Sorber and Caleb Williams to National Letters of Intent as part of the Class of 2024. Mulready will come to the Hilltop from Worcester Academy in Worcester, Massachusetts, while Sorber attends Archbishop Ryan in Philadelphia and Williams is a local product out of Sidwell Friends in Washington, D.C.
 
ON THE RECORD
"We are thrilled to bring in the trio of Kayvaun, Thomas and Caleb to the Hilltop," Head Coach Ed Cooley said. "All three have the ability to make an immediate impact on this program and be another piece of the building process here at Georgetown. We are making every effort to find the talent that is going to make our program stronger and help us grow as a team. Our coaching staff has worked tirelessly and I appreciate their efforts in bringing together this talented trio."
 
KAYVAUN MULREADY (GUARD / WORCESTER, MASS. / WORCESTER ACADEMY)
  • Mulready stands at 6-4 and weighs 210 pounds, ranking as the No. 62 prospect overall in the class of 2024 and the No. 2 prospect out of Massachusetts, according to 247Sports.com's composite rankings.
  • During the 2022-23 season Mulready helped to lead Worcester Academy to a 30-5 record overall. At the National Prep Showcase in November 2022, Mulready scored 23 points and added 11 rebounds and four assists in Worcester's win against Mt. Zion.
  • Mulready also starred in the EYBL circuit for the City Rocks, averaging 11.8 ppg, 3.3 apg, and 6.2 rpg, while also adding 1.2 spg for the squad.
  • The guard originally committed to Providence before decommitting and eventually choosing Georgetown.
 
THOMAS SORBER (CENTER / TRENTON, N.J. / ARCHBISHOP RYAN [PA.])
  • Sorber stands at 6-9 and weighs 240 pounds, ranking as the No. 50 prospect overall in the class of 2024 and the No. 3 prospect out of Pennsylvania, according to 247Sports.com's composite rankings.
  • Sorber is considered a well-rounded big man, who stuffed the stat-sheet with averages of 17.8 points, 11.2 rebounds, 4.2 blocks and 2.5 assists per game to help the Raiders (17-11) reach the Class 5A state semifinals during the 2022-23 season.
  • On the EYBL circuit, Sorber averaged 10.2 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2.2 blocks and 1.7 assists per game for Team Final at 2023 Nike EYBL Peach Jam.
 
CALEB WILLIAMS (FORWARD / WASHINGTON, D.C. / SIDWELL FRIENDS)
  • Williams stands at 6-7 and weighs 215 pounds, ranking as the No. 160 prospect overall in the class of 2024 and the top prospect out of the District, according to 247Sports.com's composite rankings.
  • As a junior, Williams was part of the Sidwell Friends squad that won the 2023 State Champions Invitational. His squad overcame a seven-point deficit going into the fourth quarter but were able to outscore the Wheeler Wildcats 17-7 in the final quarter to solidify the 57-54 win. Williams led the way with 24 points and earned tournament MVP honors.
  • Williams competed with Team Takeover in the EYBL circuit and was shooting 40.0% from the field in 62 minutes of action at the 2023 Peach Jam.
