WASHINGTON – Georgetown University men's basketball defeated the George Washington Revolutionaries 76-68 on Friday night at the Charles E. Smith Center in the District's Foggy Bottom neighborhood. The preseason exhibition was the final in a pair of preseason matchups the Hoyas have on the schedule before opening the season on Monday, November 2 when the Hoyas host Loyola Maryland at Capital One Arena.
ON THE RECORD
"I thought our guys did a good job. We didn't shoot it as well as we did a week ago, but at the same time, this game is something that I think is great for our city. The atmosphere here was amazing. We appreciated that. You always want to put your players in a situation where there's going to be some adversity. We wanted to look at a lot of different lineups today. I thought we accomplished that. I thought we had some really good minutes from our guys off the bench. I thought our bench really was a deciding factor in this game. In the second half, we played to the identity of which we wanted to play with … But, GW is going to have a really, really good year. I love their team. We respected the physicality of the game. So, kudos to Chris (Caputo) and his staff for the team that they put together." - Head Coach
