WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University men's basketball team welcomes the Merrimack Warriors to the Nation's Capital on Wednesday, November 29 with tipoff scheduled for 8:30 p.m. at Capital One Arena. The Hoyas have strung together three-straight home wins, most recently defeating Jackson State 88-81 on Saturday. The Hoyas enter the contest at 4-2 while Merrimack is 3-4 on the season, most recently suffering a 66-60 overtime loss to Alabama State in Birmingham as part of the Samford MTE.

ABOUT THE HOYAS
- The Hoyas enter the game at 4-2 following their third-straight home win, an 88-81 victory over the visiting Jackson State Tigers, on Saturday.
- For his efforts last week, Jayden Epps was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll on Monday. Epps poured in a career-high 34 points, including a 7-for-9 performance from deep. It was the second-consecutive career high game for the GU guard as he tallied a then-career-high 31 points in an 88-83 overtime win against American, including the last 14 points for the Hoyas in regulation. It marked back-to-back 30+ point games for the Norfolk native, a feat no Hoya has achieved since Austin Freeman in 2010. It was Epps' first nod to the BIG EAST Honor Roll.
- For the second time in as many games, Epps tallied a career high with his 34 points coming from a 10-for-18 from the floor. Dontrez Styles added 22 points (9-13 FG) while Jay Heath chipped in 13 and Wayne Bristol Jr. rounded out those in double figures with 11 points.
- Supreme Cook and Heath recorded a team-best seven rebounds apiece while Health also paced the offense with nine assists.
- Georgetown shot 53.7% (29-for-54) for the game and 50% (13-for-26) from downtown. The Hoyas allowed 41.7% (30-72) shooting from the Tigers and held Jackson State to a 28.6% (6-21) success rate from beyond the arc. JSU was able to outrebound the Hoyas, 43-33.
- Epps leads a quintet of Hoyas in double-figure scoring averaging 19.7 ppg, topping the BIG EAST Conference, followed by Styles' 17.8 ppg (3rd - BE), Rowan Brumbaugh (11.6 ppg), Cook (11.2 ppg) and Heath (10.7 ppg).
- Cook is GU's leader on the boards, grabbing 8.0 rpg followed by Styles' 7.2 rpg. Cook currently ranks fourth in the league in rebounding while Epps' 3.5 3-pointers made per game tops the league and his 4.8 apg is a squad best and ranks fifth in the conference.
- The Hoyas are led by Ed Cooley who is in his 18th season as a collegiate head coach and his first season with Georgetown. In 2022, Cooley was the recipient of the Naismith Coach of the Year Award, named the Sporting News Coach of the Year, the BIG EAST Coach of the Year, the NABC District 5 Coach of the Year and the USBWA District 1 Coach of the Year.
ABOUT THE WARRIORS
- Merrimack enters the game at 3-4 on the season, going 1-2 at the Samford MTE .
- Adam "Budd" Clark was the leading scorer for the Warriors with 12 points. Both Jordan Derkack and Samba Diallo had 11 points in the loss.
- A trio of Warriors are averaging double figures led by Jordan Derkack's 14.5 points per game, followed by Adam Clark (13.6 ppg) and Devon Savage (11.6 ppg).
- Derkack is Merrimack's leader on the boards, pulling down 6.5 rpg while Bryan Etumnu grabs 5.6 rpg. Clark dishes out 3.9 apg to pace the Warrior offense.
- The Warriors are led by Head Coach Joe Gallo, in his ninth season at Merrimack.
