WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's squash team split a pair of matches to close out the 2023 calendar year. The 15th-ranked Hoyas swept No. 23 Wesleyan 9-0 in the home opener on Friday before falling 8-1 to No. 11 Dartmouth on Saturday to move to 2-3 on the season.
Brianna Jefferson paced the Blue & Gray with a pair of victories, winning in the top spot 11-3, 11-3, 11-8 against the Cardinals and 11-7, 11-8, 9-11, 11-6 in the second position against the Big Green.

Eena Yu each swept their opponents.
Aaru Kuthari won her match in four games.
Playing an exhibition match against the Cardinals,
Aalia Husain earned 3-0 victory as well.
Despite the 8-1 team score against the Big Green, several matches were battles that went the distance.
Jesse Brownell fell 3-2 in the top spot against her former team while Lee also dropped a hard-fought five-game match in the fifth position. Schoonmaker, Kacergis and Hennessy each took a game off their foes as well.
In an exhibition against Dartmouth, Yu also took her opponent to five games before eventually falling 3-2.

the Hoyas are off until the New Year and return to action with a weekend road swing at Middlebury, Williams and Amherst the weekend of January 5-7.
