WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University men's and women's tennis teams both picked up wins against Marquette Friday night marking the first conference win of the season for both squads. The men's team (5-3) downed the Golden Eagles 6-1 while the women's team (4-2) captured a commanding 5-1 victory.
Men's Match
The Hoyas grabbed the 1-0 lead after winning the doubles point. Georgetown won five singles matches in a row to clinch the match victory.
Kieran Foster fell to Tin Krstulovic in a three-set battle but the Golden Eagles point would be too late.

The Hoyas started the match with a one-point advantage after winning the doubles point.
Chloe Bendetti fell to Elisabeth Desmarais in a three-set battle to give the Golden Eagles their lone point of the night. Georgetown held off Marquette and captured the win with four singles victories.
