Swimming & Diving Earns Earn Three Medals on Day Two of BIG EAST Championships

EAST MEADOW, N.Y. – Georgetown University's men's and women's swimming & diving teams collected three medals on day two of the BIG EAST Championships presented by JEEP in East Meadow, New York on Thursday evening.

Hoya Highlights

Georgetown men are currently sitting in first with 274 points and the women now claim sole possession of second place with 459.5 points.
Michael Baldini (1:49.26) captured a gold medal in the 200 IM. Fellow Hoya Nick Pezzella followed in fourth with a time of 1:49.22.
Erin Hood earned a silver medal in the 200 IM with a time of 2:01.98.
The 200 free relay team of Genevieve Youngman, Bella Wylie, Ines Lovato and Allie Sanchez earned a bronze medal with a time of 1:33.71.
Sophia Ribeiro and Corey Moon went 3-4 in the 500 free with times of 4:53.96 and 4:54.11. Ashley Vensel captured a first-place finish in the consolation final to pick up 20 points for the Hoyas.
In the men's 500 free consolation final, Andrew Babyak (4:28.92) came from behind to finish first. Conor Jellig (4:30.30) finished third followed by Jack Brearton (4:30.94) in fourth to collectively earn the Hoyas 20 points.
