Men’s Tennis Earns Win Over NJIT, Women’s and Men’s Tennis Fall to St. John’s

| Box Score 3 WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University men's tennis team fell to conference rival St. John's 5-2 before picking up a 4-3 victory at NJIT. The women's team earned a BIG EAST win after Seton Hall forfeited the match. On Sunday, the women fell to St. Johns 4-3. The men's team is now 8-6 overall and 2-2 in BIG EAST play while the women are 9-6 overall in 2-3 in conference action. 


Men's Team vs. St. John's (2-5)
The Hoyas started the match with a one-point deficit after losing the doubles point. Jake Fellows battled with Sergio Molina in three sets but ultimately fell 6-3 in the final set.  Zamaan Moledina earned a two-set win for the Hoyas while Adhvyte Sharma battled back from a 6-4 first-set loss to win another point for GU. The Red Storm won four singles matches to earn the 5-2 match victory.

The Hoyas gained a 1-0 lead after winning the doubles point. Arthur O'Sullivan battled through three sets and came out victorious against Amine El Kholti. Zamaan Moledina clinched the win for the Hoyas with a 6-2, 7-6 (7) win over Wil Jenkins.

 The Blue & Gray fell 1-0 after dropping the doubles point. Freshmen Ashley Kennedy and Paige Gilbert battled through three sets to earn two singles wins for the Hoyas. Morgan Coburn earned a point after St. John's forfeited the singles match. With the one-point advantage, the Red Storm earned the conference win 4-3.
