WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University track & field team is splitting sites this weekend, making trips to the Virginia Challenge in Charlottesville, Virginia and the Rick Erdmann Twilight Meet, hosted by Eastern Kentucky University. The Hoyas will compete over Friday and Saturday at UVA and on Saturday night in Richmond, Kentucky.

ABOUT THE HOYAS

• The Hoyas are in the midst of an outdoor season that has already seen many athletes post times that will qualify them for the postseason at east prelims.
• Last week, a small contingent of Hoyas traveled to Azusa, California for the Bryan Clay Invitational and posted strong 1,500-meter times from both the men's and women's squads.
• For his efforts, Matthew Payamps was named the BIG EAST Men's Track Athlete of the Week on Wednesday after running 3:55.80, the eighth-fastest 1,500-meter time in the country, and a time that tops the BIG EAST Conference.
