WASHINGTON– Georgetown University Women's Soccer Head Coach Dave Nolan announced the 2023 schedule presented by MedStar Health on Wednesday. This season the Hoyas will play 18 regular season contests including nine contests on the Hilltop which will begin in August.

Georgetown will play eight nonconference games, four of which are against teams that made the NCAA tournament a season ago. The Hoyas finished the season ranked 19th in the country in the final poll of 2022 at the conclusion of the NCAA tournament.

A West Coast road trip will kick the season off as the Blue & Gray will face Pepperdine in Malibu, California before traveling to Los Angeles to take on Loyola Marymount.

A contest against Bucknell marks the Hoya home opener on Thursday, August 24 with a contest against Virginia Tech on Sunday, August 27 rounding out the second week of action. The Blue & Gray will then hit the road for a Monday afternoon contest against Big 10 foe Rutgers on September 4. GU will return to the Hilltop for two games as James Madison comes to town for a contest on Thursday, September 7.

To round out the week, the Hoyas will welcome Pac-12 powerhouse Stanford to the District for a contest on Sunday, September 10. GU will then travel to Princeton, New Jersey to take on the Princeton Tigers in the final nonconference game of the season.

Conference action will start with a matchup against the St. John's Red Storm in Queens, New York on September 21. GU will then head to Omaha, Nebraska to face the Creighton Bluejays who the Hoyas beat 1-0 in the 2022 BIG EAST Championship semifinals. GU's first home league matchup is scheduled for Thursday, September 28 against UConn.

As BIG EAST Conference action continues, the Hoyas will face four opponents at home including DePaul (October 1), Villanova (October 12), Providence (October 15) and Butler (October 22).

GU will hit the road during conference action traveling to Xavier (October 5), Seton Hall (October 8) and Marquette (October 19).

Head Coach Dave Nolan
"Once again, we have put together an extremely challenging schedule for this Fall. Highlighted by a visit from national championship contender Stanford, we also get a chance to compete against top teams from conferences such as the Big 10, ACC, WCC, Ivy League, Patriot League and Sunbelt. These opportunities allow us to build a strong NCAA resume and we are excited to play these games. The team will be ready for the challenges ahead."
