WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University's men's tennis team welcomes two freshmen for the upcoming 2023 season.
"I am excited for Hank and Sahil to join our program this fall," said Head Coach Freddy Mesmer. "I have gotten to know both of them very well and I know they will be great assets for the program. Both of these young men are going to continue to gain lots of experience throughout their time at Georgetown. I'm looking forward to watching them grow on and off the court."
Sahil Morey attended Laguna Hills High School (2019-21) and Laurel Springs School (2021-23) in Laguna Hills, California. The five star recruit was ranked in the top 100 in the country throughout high school and was in the top 20 in Southern California.
Hank Williams attended Forsyth Country Day School in Winston Salem, North Carolina. While at Forsyth Country Day, Williams led his team as captain during his junior and senior years. During his junior year, Williams helped his team capture the 2022 NCISAA DII State Championship after being the runner up in 2021. Individually, Williams' overall varsity record was 145-29 and was undefeated in doubles play during his junior year. Williams was also named to the All-Conference team all four years as well as All-State his sophomore, junior and senior years.
