WASHINGTON – Georgetown's Julia Leas was named to the 2023 Women's Hermann Trophy Watch List as announced by United Soccer Coaches on Thursday afternoon. The Hermann Trophy is the highest honor an individual can achieve at the collegiate soccer level for both men and women and is presented annually by the Missouri Athletic Club. The trophy winner is decided upon by the Division I coaches who are members of United Soccer Coaches.

• Leas is one of 56 players named to the watch list for the 2023 season.
• This is the fourth honor the graduate student has received for the 2023 season so far after being named the BIG EAST Preseason Defender of the Year and tabbed as a Preseason All-BIG EAST Team selection for 2023.
• Leas was also named to the United Soccer Coaches' 2023 NCAA Division I Women's Players to Watch – Defenders list.
• The Vienna, Virginia native was one of 15 semifinalist for the Hermann Trophy a season ago and helped lead the Hoyas to a 15-2-5 record and a sixth BIG EAST Championship in the past seven years.
