WASHINGTON – Georgetown graduate student Brianne Riley was named the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon. Georgetown went 2-0 over the last week moving the Hoyas to 3-0-1 on the season.

• The San Clemente, California native was superb for the Hoyas in a 2-0 week as GU defeated Bucknell 1-0 and RV Virginia Tech 1-0.
• Riley scored the game-winner in the 86th minute against Bucknell for her first goal as a Hoya.
• The graduate student played all 180 minutes in the Hoyas' two contests this week helping keep two clean sheets.

 
OF NOTE

• Allie Augur was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the second-consecutive week.
• Augur recorded two shutouts for the Hoyas against Bucknell and RV Virginia Tech recording three saves across the two contests.
• GU has conceded just one goal this season with Augur between the pipes.
