WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's field hockey team returns to BIG EAST play with a road contest at UConn on Friday in Storrs, Connecticut. Both the Hoyas and the Huskies are looking for their first league victory of the season.
Friday's game will be shown live on the BIG EAST Digital Network with Adam Giardino on the call.
About the Hoyas
- Georgetown is 1-7 (0-1 BIG EAST) on the season following a 1-1 weekend at home.
- Vivienne Trumpbour scored three goals in GU's first win of the season, a 4-2 victory over Lock Haven. Trumpbour's hat trick was the first for a Hoya since 2010.
- Sydney Yodh added a goal and an assist while Izzy Lee notched an assist as well.
- On the year, Trumpbour leads the Hoyas with four goals and two assists for 10 points. Sophie Towne has two goals and two assists while Lois Lekawael adds a pair of goals as well.
- In goal, Bailey Tietz has 42 saves to go with a 3.71 goals-against average and a .618 save percentage.

- Friday's game against the Huskies is set for 1 p.m.
- UConn is 2-6 on the year and 0-1 in league play.
- The Huskies are coming off a 3-1 win over Princeton last weekend following a 1-0 loss to Temple in the BIG EAST opener.
- Julie Bressler leads UConn with three goals while Julianna Kratz and Sophia Ugo both have two goals on the year.
- In goal, Natalie McKenna owns a 1.66 GAA with 52 saves and a .788 save percentage.
