Hoyas to Host Clinic for National Girls and Women in Sports Day

WASHINGTON – Georgetown University is partnering with Strong Girls United (SGU) to host an empowering clinic for kindergarten through eighth grade girls in the Washington, D.C. area on February 17th, from 2-4 p.m. at McDonough Arena. This event, dedicated to National Girls and Women in Sports Day, aims to provide girls with skills related to mental health, positive self-talk, team building and sports.

During this exciting experience, each girl will rotate through interactive stations led by current Georgetown female student-athletes. Each station will feature fun activities designed to impart the fundamentals of sports while emphasizing the principles of cultivating "strong bodies, kind hearts, and unstoppable minds," as championed by SG United. This powerful event is not only an opportunity to have fun with friends while playing games but also a celebration of the capabilities of women and girls in sports.

Registration is entirely free, and anyone interested can sign up here.
