WASHINGTON – The No. 20 Georgetown University women's soccer team will host the St. John's Red Storm on Sunday, October 6. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m. at Shaw Field on the campus of Georgetown University.

ABOUT THE HOYAS
- Georgetown (7-1-4, 3-0-1 BE) is coming off a 1-1 draw with Butler on Thursday evening. A late penalty kick conversion from Eliza Turner helped GU secure a hard-fought road point.
- Henley Tippins was named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week on Monday after two stellar performances last week. The junior netted two against Seton Hall marking her first career multi-goal game of the season and the second of her collegiate career. Tippins also chipped in an assist against UConn on Sunday tallying five points on the week.
- Erika Harwood was named the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week on Monday after playing all 180 minutes in a 2-0 week for GU. The senior helped anchor the Hoya backline en route to GU's eighth shutout of the season against Seton Hall. Harwood also tallied her first assist of the season on Sunday against UConn.
- Cara Martin has been sensational in goal for GU boasting a 0.40 GAA in 675 minutes of action. Martin has contributed to all eight Hoya shutouts and has 12 saves to her credit this season.
- Georgetown currently ranks ninth nationally in shots per game (20.25), fourth in the nation in corner kicks per game (8.08), 11th in GAA (0.500), 11th in shots on goal per game (9.00) and is eighth in shutout percentage (0.667).
ABOUT SJU
- St. John's (5-3-4, 0-2-2 BE) enters Sunday's contest fresh off a 2-1 setback against Marquette on Thursday. The Golden Eagles netted two in the first frame and SJU was unable to find the equalizer in the second half.
- Jailene DeJesus paces the Red Storm offense with 12 points this season. DeJesus is tied for the team lead in goals with five and has two assists to her credit.
- Malene Nielsen and Kayla Bower have split time in goal for SJU. The squad boasts a 1.00 GAA and has two shutouts on the season.
