Drew Fine Receives Outstanding Contribution to Athletics Award

WASHINGTON - Georgetown University alumnus Drew Fine (B'84) recently received the 2024 Outstanding Contribution to Athletics Award recognizing his support of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics over many years. Fine was honored with the award at an event in New York City in October prior to BIG EAST Media Day, and recognized in front of the home crowd at this past weekend's men's basketball game at Capital One Arena.

The Outstanding Contribution to Athletics Award is presented to an individual who has served Georgetown Athletics in such an outstanding way as to merit special recognition. Over the years, Fine has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to Georgetown Athletics. He leads the Women's Allegiance subcommittee, provides networking opportunities for student-athletes and is always willing to host the BIG EAST Media Day event. These gestures and more have had a tremendously positive impact on the student-athletes experience and provided so many the resources needed to succeed in the classroom and field of competition.

Fine graduated from McDonough School of Business with a bachelor's degree in finance in 1984.  After graduating from Georgetown, he attended the Northwestern School of Law and joined Milbank LLP, a global law firm headquartered in New York in 1987.  He and his wife of 25 years, Susan Cook have two children, Dylan, a Georgetown senior on the track & field/cross country team, and Marissa, a freshman at USC.

"I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to give back to the university that I love and to support the incredible athletes, coaches, and supporters who continue to make a difference every day," said Fine. "Thank you for this incredible recognition."
