Squash Hosts No. 3 Penn, Travels to No. 21 Dickinson

WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's squash team is back in action with a pair of matches this weekend. The No. 12 Hoyas welcome third-ranked Penn to the Nation's Capital in the 2024-25 home opener on Friday before hitting the road once again to face No. 21 Dickinson in Carlisle, Pennsylvania on Saturday.

Hoya Notes
  • Georgetown went 0-2 last weekend in a pair of thrilling matches. The Hoyas fell 6-3 to No. 13 Tufts and 5-4 to No. 11 Dartmouth, both on the road.
  • Rachel Mashek and Ana Margarita Quijano both went 2-0 to begin their careers on the Hilltop while Cici Curran also earned her first career win against the Big Green.
  • Lindsay Lee and Ella Schoonmaker also picked up victories for the Hoyas.
Scouting Penn
  • Friday's match is set for 4 p.m. at Squash On Fire in the District.
  • The Quakers are 5-0 on the season with wins over Franklin & Marshall, Haverford, Drexel, Dickinson and Chatham.
  • Ashna Tumuluri and Alexandra Stoddard are both undefeated at 4-0 so far this year with four other teammates posting 3-0 records to date.
  • Georgetown and Penn have met once before, a 9-0 Quakers victory last season in Philadelphia.
Scouting Dickinson
  • Saturday's match will be played at 1 p.m. in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
  • The Red Devils are 5-2 on the year with wins over Denison, William Smith, Chatham, Franklin & Marshall and Haverford.
  • Anne Leakey leads Dickinson with a 6-1 record while Kathryn Herring, Anna O'Connor and Thea Hedge are all 5-2 overall.
  • Georgetown and Dickinson have met four times prior with the Hoyas holding a 3-2 series lead, including a three-match winning streak.
Next Time Out
Following the weekend's action, the Hoyas wrap up competition in the calendar year and face seventh-ranked Yale on Saturday, December 7 at a neutral site in Philadelphia.
