Chloe Scrimgeour Earns All-American Honors

WASHINGTON – After finishing 23rd at the NCAA Cross Country Championship, Georgetown University's Chloe Scrimgeour earned All-America honors for the second-consecutive season. This marks Scrimgeour's sixth All-American selection in her collegiate career and her second for cross country.

Scrimgeour adds an All-American nod to her repertoire on the season. Scrimgeour has been the top performer for the Hoyas in every meet she has raced in and has received All-BIG EAST and All-Region honors.

·       Scrimgeour finished 23rd overall and first for Georgetown at the NCAA Cross Country Championships this past Saturday with a time of 19:53.8. Scrimgeour helped power GU to a ninth place finish, their best finish since 2014.

·       Scrimgeour also earned All-Region honors, after finishing second in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional, helping lead the Hoyas to a second-place finish and an automatic bid to NCAAs.

·       Scrimgeour was one of three GU runners to make the All-BIG EAST first team when she finished third at the BIG EAST Cross Country Championship.

·       The Blue & Gray cap off the cross country season tabbed as the No. 9 team in the nation, according to the final USTFCCCA National Poll.
