Jake Fellows to Compete at ITA Masters

WASHINGTON - Georgetown University's men's tennis program will send senior Jake Fellows to Rome, Georgia to compete in the ITA Conference Masters Championships on November 7. Fellow is looking to become the first member of the Blue & Gray to qualify for the NCAA tournament.

The ITA masters is a four-day tournament consisting of Men's Open Singles, Men's Open Doubles, Women's Open Singles, and Women's Open Doubles. Fellows will compete in Men's Open Singles, a 32-player event across the four days. Fellows will need to make the semifinals to qualify for his first-ever NCAA tournament.

"I am super excited to be competing in the masters this week. It's the first time the ITA has hosted this event and there will be tons of good players from great schools, so I'm incredibly grateful for it. This is the last opportunity I have to make the NCAA tournament which has been a goal of mine since I came here and I was very close at regionals, so I'm carrying that confidence on to Masters and will hopefully see some good results." - Senior Jake Fellows

"I am excited for Jake and this opportunity he has to go represent Georgetown and the Big East Conference. We've had a good couple weeks of training following ITA Regionals and I'm confident he will carry that good momentum into the Masters event to give himself the best chance to make the NCAA tournament." - Head Coach Freddy Mesmer

The four-day championship will be streamed HERE. A link to live stats will be available on guhoyas.com.
