WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University women's soccer team had five student-athletes named to the United Soccer Coaches' 2024 NCAA Division I Women's All-East Region teams. Graduate student

Natalie Means and
Cara Martin were among the 35 athletes selected for the honor. Georgetown closed out its season in the second round of the NCAA Division I Championships when they fell to third-seeded Iowa. The Hoyas finished the 2024 season with a record of 13-4-4 overall and 8-1-1 in conference.
Renie, Lardner and Turner all earned a spot on the All-East Region First Team. Renie was spectacular this season starting all 21 contests for Georgetown. Renie played a pivotal role in the Hoya backline that tallied 14 shutouts this season and was named to the All-BIG EAST First Team. Turner had a spectacular season for the Blue & Gray starting all 21 games this season. Turner tallied a career-high eight goals this season while chipping in one assist. The Bethesda, Maryland native captained the squad in her final season on the Hilltop and was named to the All-BIG EAST First Team. This is Turner's second season earning an all-region honor after being named to the All-East Third Team in 2023. Lardner started all 21 matches this season for GU and tallied a career-best 11 goals and seven assists. The senior led the team in points with 29 and was named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Year while also earning a spot on the All-BIG EAST First Team.
Martin and Means both earned a spot on the All-East Region Second Team. Martin was sensational in goal for GU this season boasting a 0.26 GAA in 1,035 minutes of action. The Alexandria, Virginia native allowed only three goals all season while making 21 saves. Martin, who was named the BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Year and also earned a spot on the All-BIG EAST First Team, helped combine for 14 shutouts this season, a mark that ranked top-10 nationally. Means started all 21 games this season and was tied for second on the team in points with 17. The Lafayette, California native recorded five goals and seven assists tying and marking career bests in both categories. Means earned a spot on the All-BIG EAST First Team for the second-consecutive season.
