Renie and Turner Garner All-America Honors

WASHINGTON – Graduate student Lawson Renie and senior captain Eliza Turner were named to the United Soccer Coaches' NCAA Division I All-America third and fourth teams, respectively.
 
Only 48 Division I women's soccer players were selected as All-Americans. This year's All-Americans will be recognized for their accomplishments at the United Soccer Coaches All-America Ceremony & Reception on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025, in Chicago, Illinois, in conjunction with the United Soccer Coaches Convention.
 
Renie was spectacular this season starting all 21 contests for Georgetown. Renie played a pivotal role on the Hoya backline, which tallied 14 shutouts this season, and was named to the All-BIG EAST First Team. For her efforts this season, Renie was named a third team All-American.
Turner had a fantastic season for the Blue & Gray, starting all 21 games. Turner tallied a career-high eight goals while chipping in one assist. The Bethesda, Maryland native captained the squad in her final season on the Hilltop and was named a fourth team All-American. The senior also earned a spot on the All-East Region First Team and the All-BIG EAST First Team.
