WASHINGTON - Three Hoyas, Jake Fellows, Kieran Foster and Zamaan Moledina earned BIG EAST player of the Week honors after Georgetown's undefeated weekend in West Point, New York. Fellows earned BIG EAST Singles Player of the Week while Foster and Moledina earned BIG EAST Doubles Team of the Week. GU defeated Fairfield, Mercer and Army over the weekend to bring them to a record of 5-2 on the season.
Fellows went 3-0 in singles matches over the weekend and is now 7-0 in singles on the season. He has competed in the number one position in every single match for the Hoyas. Fellows first defeated Fairfield's Keean Shah 6-3, 6-0 before defeating Mercer's Nemanja Stefanovic 6-2, 6-4 and Army's Daniel Zhou 6-4, 6-2.Â
For Foster and Moledina, last weekend was the first time the duo had competed together in the spring season. The duo defeated Fairfield's Kostas Kollias and Keean Shah 6-1, Mercer's Lucas Dini and Andrew Branicki 6-4 and Army's Daniel Choi and Jack Hanna 6-2. Every match was also in the number one doubles position.
