WASHINGTON - Two Hoyas, Dayanara Campos and Gabby Park, received BIG EAST Weekly Honors after Georgetown went 5-0 over the weekend at the Furman Invitational. Campos was named BIG EAST Player of the Week while Park was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.
Campos was instrumental in helping the Hoyas win every game this past weekend. She recorded six hits in 11 at bats. Of those hits, she hit a double, a triple and two home runs and was also walked twice. She also notched five RBIs and four runs scored.
Park was also vital to GU's success this past weekend. In 12 at bats, Park recorded seven hits, three of which were doubles. She was also walked once. In total, Park also tallied three runs and an RBI.
Georgetown has won six games in a row. The last time they won six in a row was in 2014 when the team won nine in a row. The Hoyas are set to compete in the Frost Classic from February 23 - 25 in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
