WASHINGTON – Georgetown University men's basketball sophomore guard Jayden Epps was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll as announced by the league office in New York on Monday. It is the fourth weekly honor for the squad this season and the second for the Norfolk, Virginia native. The honor comes after a 1-1 week for the Blue & Gray that saw the Hoyas defeat DePaul 77-76 at Wintrust Arena on Saturday. Earlier in the week, the Blue & Gray fell short of completing the comeback 90-85 to the visiting St. John's University Red Storm at Capital One Arena.
 
JAYDEN EPPS (SOPHOMORE / GUARD / 6-2 / 187 / NORFOLK, VA.)

• In a 1-1 week for Georgetown, Epps averaged 32.0 points and 6.0 assists per game. He made 21-of-38 (55.3%) from the field and was 16-for-19 (84.2%) from the charity stripe.
• He tallied back-to-back 30+ point games for the second time this season as he tallied 31 against St. John's on Wednesday before pouring in 33 in a 77-76 win at DePaul on Saturday night.
• Epps is currently third in the BIG EAST in scoring, averaging 18.4 points per game and his 4.4 assists per game is good enough for eighth in the league.
• The guard knocks down 2.3 3-pointers per game, ranking seventh in the BIG EAST Conference.
• He has totaled six 30+ point outings this season, with four coming in conference play.
• This is the second weekly honor roll accolade for Epps, in his first season in the BIG EAST Conference.
