WASHINGTON - Georgetown men's rowing compete in three events over the weekend to kick off the spring season.
GU's heavyweight team started off competing against La Salle on Thursday, March 28 on the Schuylkill River. In the event, the Hoyas took first place in both the first varsity eight and second varsity eight races.
The heavyweights later competed in the 14th annual race against Princeton, Drexel and Temple on Saturday, March 30 on Carnegie Lake. In the event, Georgetown placed second in the second varsity eight race and third in the first, third and fourth varsity eight races.
Georgetown lightweights competed at the National Collegiate Lightweight Invitational on Saturday, March 30 in Overpeck Park, New Jersey. In the event, the Hoyas took first place in the second heat of the first varsity and second varsity eight races.
