WASHINGTON – Former members of the Georgetown University men's soccer team will convene in Cary, North Carolina to play in a 48-team competition at The Soccer Tournament (TST) 2024. The tournament is set to take place from June 5-10 as teams from around the world, including Hoya Nation, will battle for a $1 million prize. Notable players committed to play in TST 2024 include Pat McAfee, JJ and Kealia Watt, Heather O'Reilly, Ali Krieger, NFL wide receiver Chad Ochocinco, former Manchester City stars Sergio Aguero and Mario Balotelli, Portuguese national team legend Nani, among others.

About the Hoyas
- Hoya Nation will feature men's soccer players from a wide range of storied program history including:
- Ricky Schramm (2003-06): Schramm made his mark on the Hilltop as one of the most decorated offensive Hoyas in program history, earning the Team MVP Award after leading the Hoyas in scoring for the fourth straight season. As a senior in 2006, Schramm ranked third in the BIG EAST with 10 goals and fourth in the league with 23 points. He compiled 39 goals in his career which is tied for third on the school's all-time list while his 92 career points ranks fifth all-time. Schramm became just the second player in school history to be named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Year when he won the award in 2004. He was selected in the third round and 37th overall by D.C. United in the 2007 MLS SuperDraft.
- Scott Larrabee (2006-09): Larrabee was a mainstay midfielder during his time with the Hoyas playing in 74 games which was every contest in his four-year career. Larrabee also started the final 62 matches of his career on the Hilltop. He ranked fifth on the team in scoring with two goals and as many assists for six points in his senior year, earning 25 career points to his credit.
- Seth C'deBaca- (2007-10): While at Georgetown, C'deBaca managed one goal and a squad-best 11 assists during the 2010 season. Overall, he appeared in 76 career games with seven goals and 21 assists. He was named to the Davidson Adidas Classic All-Tournament Team and went on to play for the Pittsburgh Riverhounds in the USL from 2012-2015.
- Mark Zeman (2006-09): Zeman is another Hoya known for his solid play and leadership. He was a two-time captain who started in all 18 games he played in and had two assists during his senior season, as well as being awarded the Ricardo Mendoza Award for his dedication and spirit. In his career, he had seven assists and started all but three games.
- Jimmy Nealis (2009-12): During his college career, Nealis was a two-time NSCAA All-Region honoree as well as a two-time All-BIG EAST award winner. He started in 71 of the 83 games he appeared in for the Hoyas, totalling two goals and 15 assists on the Hilltop. He was selected 37th overall by the Houston Dynamo in the 2013 MLS SuperDraft.
- Andy Riemer (2009-12): As a Hoya, Riemer began his career playing forward and moved into the midfield his senior season. He scored 21 career goals, including nine this past season, and tallied eight assists for 50 points over 82 games played and 62 starts. He was selected sixth overall in the 2013 MLS Supplemental Draft by the LA Galaxy.
- Steve Neumann (2010-13): In his time with the Hoyas, Neumann was named a MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist, the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Year, and Second Team All-America. He tallied 116 points on 41 goals and 34 assists to rank third on the all-time lists in both points and goals as well as fourth in assists, and helped lead his team to three NCAA Tournaments including the National Championship Game in 2012. He was selected fourth overall in the 2014 MLS SuperDraft by the New England Revolution and played three seasons for the Revolution making 36 appearances.
- Mark Luxama (2009-11): Forward and midfielder Luxama added spark to the Hoya squad. He appeared in 17 career games with one assist to his credit.
- Austin Martz (2011-14): After his final season at Georgetown, Martz was awarded the Most Improved Player award for moving into the starting lineup as a senior. He started in all 21 games after appearing in just seven career starts in his three previous seasons and scored four career goals and seven career assists. Martz signed with Maltese Premier League side Pembroke Athleta in August 2015 and has since played in the USL.
- Jared Rist (2011-14): In his collegiate career, Rist played in 57 games with 25 starts. He finished with two goals and six assists for 10 points, with one of the most memorable goals being his first career goal in a 2014 NCAA Tournament win over Syracuse in overtime to send the Hoyas to the Elite 8.
- Brandon Allen (2012-15): Allen amassed 50 goals and 17 assists in 91 appearances for the Hoyas. He finished his career as the Hoyas' all-time leading scorer, was a unanimous choice for First Team All-BIG EAST honors in 2015, and was three-time National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-American. He made his professional debut in the MLS with the New York Red Bulls and currently plays for Memphis 901 FC in the USL Championship.
- Bakie Goodman (2013-16): In his collegiate career, he made 80 appearances, scoring 7 goals and tallying 12 assists and serving as a team captain his senior year. He was selected by the Seattle Sounders with the 56th selection overall of the 2017 Major League Soccer (MLS) SuperDraft and has also played in the NPSL and USL.
- Declan McCabe (2014-17): As a Hoya, McCabe was named Scholar All-South Region by the United Soccer Coaches, a Second Team All-BIG EAST honoree, and won the team's Most Improved Award. He appeared in 19 games with 16 starts and was GU's second-leading scorer with three goals and a BIG EAST best 10 assists for 16 points. All three of his goals were game winners including an overtime free kick to win the BIG EAST Championship.
- Joe DaLuz (2018-21): DaLuz made his mark including being named the team's Most Improved Player for his performance during the 2020 season as well as tallying one goal and three assists in his senior season.
- Zach Riviere (2018-21): Riviere contributed scoring power to the Blue & Gray during his tenure, scoring 31 points on 12 goals and 7 assists, including a goal in the NCAA College Cup Semifinals in 2021.
- Chris Le (2017-21): Le spent five years with the Hoyas as a midfielder and defender. In his graduate season, he saw action in 20 games, starting in four of them, with his best performance coming against Xavier where he netted his first career goal on two shots in a 3-1 victory.
About TST
- TST launched its inaugural 7v7 tournament last year with 32 teams competing for the $1 million bid in an offshoot venture from its 3v3 predecessor, The Basketball Tournament (TBT). The tournament is open to all to apply, with professional clubs, celebrity-backed teams, charities, college alumni, and supporter groups all coming together to battle in team-oriented, high intensity play.
- One of the tournament's founders is Henry Tembon who played on the Hilltop during the 2010 season.
- TST will take place at WakeMed Soccer Park from June 5-10. The 48-team men's field will commence with group play on June 5-6, with teams being split into 12 groups of four. Thirty-two teams will emerge from the group stage to the knockout rounds, beginning on June 7. TST's round of 16 and quarterfinals will take place on June 8, and the two semifinal matches will be played June 9.
- TST's inaugural women's bracket will feature eight teams competing for an equal $1M, winner-take-all prize. The women's event will begin June 7, and be broken into two groups of four. Two teams will advance from each group to play in the semifinals on June 9.
- Both the men's and women's events will conclude in a winner-take-all championship doubleheader on June 10, with a total of $2M in prize money being awarded.
