WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University men's golf team is currently in sixth place after day two of the BIG EAST Men's Golf Championships Presented by JEEP. On the par-72, 7,158-yard course at Riverton Pointe, GU posted a team score of 302 in round one and a 295 in round two.
Carsten Judge and
Jacob Finard led the Hoyas on the day with Judge posting a team-best 70 and Finard right behind him with a 71.
Hoya Results
- Max Hutter posted a 7-over 79 on day two of the BIG EAST Championships. Hutter tallied three birdies on the day to go with seven pars. Hutter is currently tied for 22nd place.
- Finard was stellar for GU on day two posting a 1-under 71 in round two. Finard was consistent on the greens, sinking two birdies to go with 15 pars. In the first six holes, Finard sank two birdies and was 1-under. The junior posted a 35 over the course of the first nine holes and nine-consecutive pars on the back nine lifted Finard to his 1-under 71, good for tied for 17th overall.
- Barnes Blake was replaced in the lineup by Conner Willett due to an injury from round one. Willett came out on fire in the first nine holes carding a 33, 3-under par on the front nine. Willett posted a 42 on the back nine finishing the day with a 75, 3-over par. Willett recorded two eagles and a birdie on the day.
- Judge was fantastic for the Blue & Gray posting a team best 2-under 70 in round two. Judge got off to a hot start sinking birdies on two of the first four holes and tallying three in the front nine. Over the course of the back nine holes, Judge was stellar posting two more birdies and six pars. Judge is currently tied for 27th place with 18 holes of play left.
- Ryan Moylan carded an 85 in round two with one birdie and eight pars. Moylan currently sits in 44th place.
Tournament Leaders
- Seton Hall is currently in first place at 8-over par (584). Butler is in second at 10-over (586).
- GU is currently 13 strokes off the lead.
