Field Hockey Announces Six Newcomers for 2024

WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University field hockey team welcomes six newcomers to the Hilltop for the 2024 campaign, as announced by Head Coach Christy Longacre Banks on Friday. The six freshmen will join 19 returners for the Hoyas from a year ago.

Prior to the Hoyas: Four-year letterwinner and three-year starter at Wall High School … Led the Crimson Knights to four-straight Shore Conference and New Jersey State Tournament Appearances (2020-23) … Scored 14 goals to go with 16 assists during her career … Named Shore Conference A-Central First Team (2023) … Played club for WC Eagles and Jersey Intensity … Scored 42 goals during the 2023-24 indoor season tournament and national indoor tournament with WC Eagles … Qualified for National Indoor Tournament Top-4 Brackets (2022-24) … Brother, Ryan, played lacrosse at SUNY Maritime.

Why Georgetown: When I first visited Georgetown, I immediately fell in love with its idealistic location in Washington DC, and overall beautiful campus. Also, I like the supportive atmosphere of the field hockey program and the emphasis on both academics and athletics. I also chose Georgetown because of its phenomenal school of foreign service, a sphere that I am very interested in. Also, as someone interested in foreign affairs and politics, Washington DC provides an incredibly exciting environment.
