WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University women's soccer team was voted the No. 1 team in the BIG EAST Conference in the preseason rankings. The Hoyas earned 10 first-place votes followed by UConn with one.
 
Junior Natalie Means and senior Eliza Turner, who were both selected to the All-BIG EAST First Team a season ago, both earned a spot on the preseason All-BIG EAST team. Means started 21 games for GU in 2023 and was third on the team in points with 10 off of five goals, three of which were game winners. Means was also selected to the United Soccer Coaches All-East Region Third Team last season.
 
Turner returns to the Hilltop for her senior season where she will once again anchor the Hoya midfield. Turner started 22 games last season for GU tallying two goals and three assists.
 
GU will open the 2024 season on Thursday, August 15 as the Hoyas will welcome SEC foe Vanderbilt to the Hilltop marking the Hoyas season and home opener.
