WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University men's and women's cross country programs have released the schedule for the 2024 season, presented by MedStar Health. The season features four regular, and three postseason meets across the three months. The season gets underway on August 30th for the BIG EAST Preview.
ON THE RECORD: "Coming off a very successful 2023 season, we're eagerly looking forward to what's to come for 2024. On the women's side, we bring back a few seasoned veterans and have added key grad transfers, that combined with our other returnees we hope will be able to compete at a high level. On the men's side, we've lost some vastly experienced athletes who contributed to our program over the past few years, but we still have some returnees who have competed at the NCAA Championships. As always, you're looking for newcomers to step up and with a few grad transfer additions as well, we're confident we will continue to be a top cross country program at the conference and national level. Lastly, the opportunity to host a BIG EAST Conference Championship is one we're excited about. A lot of great history and legacy to celebrate and build on, so we're excited to see what transpires for the 2024 season."
