WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University softball team had nine players named 2023-24 Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar Athletes, as announced by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) last week.
The nine Hoyas to earn the prestigious honor include: Kiaris Alvarado Rojas, Dayanara Campos, Maicie Levitt, Samantha Miller, Julia Parker, Gianna Sciullo, Claire Turner, Camryn Wincher, and Avery Wissmar
The honors recognize the academic prowess of softball teams across the Association's membership categories. NCAA Division I led the way with 2,573 student-athletes earning a 3.5 grade-point average or higher for 2023-2024. A total of 8,049 student-athletes (NCAA DI, DII, DIII, NAIA, and JUCO) earned awards. Member head coaches submit team GPAs and scholar-athletes. The Georgetown University softball team had a team GPA of 3.397, ranking within the top 130 in the country for NCAA Division I.
