ABOUT THE HOYAS

  • Esme Brayshaw, Natalie Means and Shay Montgomery all logged a tally in the goal column while Means also added an assist in her three-point outing.
  • Ellen Carter, Maja Lardner and Claire Manning all recorded assists in the contest against Quinnipiac. Anna Karpenko, Cara Martin and Alexa Hadley combined for the shutout in goal, facing only two Bobcat shots in the match.
  • Karpenko earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday. The graduate student made three saves in 45 minutes of action, en route to GU's first shutout of the season.
  • Last season GU went 13-2-7 in 2023 with a mark of 6-0-4 in BIG EAST Conference play which was good enough to win a share of the regular season championship. The Hoyas boasted one All-American and six All-BIG EAST selections, including one major award winner. The Blue & Gray advanced to the NCAA second round a season ago and finished the season ranked No. 21 in the nation.
  • Georgetown returns 20 players from last season's squad that won the program's seventh BIG EAST title in the past eight years. The Hoyas defeated No. 17 Xavier 2-0 in the BIG EAST Championship as GU secured its fourth-consecutive conference crown.
  • This season, Georgetown will face five teams in the non-conference slate that appeared in the 2023 NCAA Championship.

ABOUT SACRED HEART
  • Sacred Heart enters the contest with a 0-2 record after dropping contests to La Salle (2-1) and Navy (5-3).
  • Grace O'Hara and Morgan Bovardi return for SHU after combining for 39 points last season. O'Hara and Bovardi let the team in goals with eight each and O'Hara was second on the team in assists with four.
  • Casey Mulligan and Kyran Thievon have split time between the pipes thus far as each keeper has seen 90 minutes of action through two games.
