WASHINGTON – The RV Georgetown University women's soccer team will travel to Columbia, South Carolina on Thursday, September 12 to take on the No. 25/23 ranked South Carolina Gamecocks. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. on the SEC Network.

ABOUT THE HOYAS
- RV Georgetown is 3-1-2 after earning a 0-0 draw with No. 8 Penn State on Sunday. GU played stellar defense in the contest limiting the Nittany Lions to only two shots on target.
- Claire Manning earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll this week as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon. This is her second honor in the past two weeks as Manning was named the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week last Monday. Manning, a senior from Montclair, New Jersey logged 78 minutes against No. 8 Penn State and helped the Hoyas log their fifth shutout of the season. Manning added her team-best fourth assist of the season against Pepperdine.
- Maja Lardner paces the Hoya offense with 10 points on the season. Lardner has four goals and two assists in six games for GU and has two multi-goal games.
- Cara Martin and Anna Karpenko have been splitting time in net as the duo has combined for a 0.33 GAA this season. Martin and Karpenko have combined for five shutouts and have only conceded two goals this season.
- Esme Brayshaw, Shay Montgomery and Jocelyn Lohmeyer each have two goals to their credit. The trio has combined for 15 of the Hoyas 42 points this season.
- Georgetown currently ranks fifth in the country in shots per game (23.83), fifth nationally in shutout percentage (.833) and 10th nationally in corner kicks per game (8.33).
ABOUT SOUTH CAROLINA
- South Carolina enters Thursday's contest with a 2-0-3 record after earning a 1-1 draw against No. 25 Clemson last week.
- Catherine Barry leads the Gamecock offense with 11 points so far this season. Barry leads the team in goals with four and is tied for the team lead in assists with three.
- Christina Tsaousis has logged 405 minutes between the pipes and has one shutout to her credit. Tsaousis boasts a 0.89 GAA and has made 14 saves in five contests.
