WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University women's soccer team is set to open BIG EAST action on Sunday, September 22. GU will welcome the Creighton Bluejays to Shaw Field for the first conference matchup of 2024. Kickoff is slated for noon eastern.

ABOUT THE HOYAS
- Georgetown is 4-1-3 on the season after defeating the Princeton Tigers 1-0 on Sunday evening.
- On Monday, Eliza Turner was named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week after tallying three goals in a 1-0-1 week for GU. Turner scored two in the second half against South Carolina and converted on a penalty kick against Princeton which proved to be the winner.
- The quartet of Maja Lardner, Turner, Esme Brayshaw and Shay Montgomery have combined for 27 of the teams 49 points this season.
- Cara Martin and Anna Karpenko have combined for six shutouts in goal this season. GU boasts a GAA of .500 this season and has only allowed four goals in 720 minutes of action.
- Georgetown currently ranks seventh nationally in shots per game (21.63), ninth in the nation in corner kicks per game (8.25), 22nd in GAA (.500), 12th in shots on goal per game (9.38) and is fourth in shutout percentage (.750).
ABOUT CREIGHTON
- Creighton enters Sunday's contest with a 3-2-1 record after defeating Kansas City 1-0 on Sunday.
- Azumi Manriki paces the Bluejay offense with six points this season on three goals. Ariana Mondiri is second on the team in goals with two to her credit.
- Alyssa Zalac has played all 540 minutes in goal for Creighton boasting a 1.33 GAA.
