WASHINGTON - Georgetown junior goalkeeper Tenzing Manske was named the BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week on Monday when the BIG EAST Conference announced its weekly awards. Additionally, sophomore Matthew Van Horn earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll. Georgetown went 1-0 this past week, downing Creighton in the BIG EAST Conference opener.

• Manske acted as a brick wall on Friday night to lead Georgetown to a 1-0 road victory over Creighton.
• The junior registered six saves in the contest, including a key stop in the final five minutes of action to keep the Bluejays off the scoreboard.
• Overall, Manske and the Georgetown defense faced 15 shots and eight corners in the match.
• For the season, he has a 0.83 goals-against average with 18 saves in six matches played.
• This is the second weekly award for the Hoyas this season and the first of Manske's career.

• Van Horn scored the game winner on Friday in the 70th minute to seal the 1-0 victory over Creighton.
• It marked his first goal of the season and the second of his career on the Hilltop.

• Manske and Van Horn were high school teammates at Shattuck-St. Mary's.
