WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's field hockey team welcomes BIG EAST foe UConn to the DMV as the Hoyas host the Huskies at the Maryland Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex on Friday afternoon. The Hoyas are 2-5 on the season with an 0-1 mark in league action while UConn is 7-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play.

About the Hoyas
- Georgetown is coming off a 1-1 weekend that included a setback to Villanova in the BIG EAST opener and a home win over LIU.
- Sophie Towne led the Hoyas with two goals on the weekend, including the game-winner against the Sharks.
- Against LIU, Sydney Yodh and Izzy Lee both had a goal and an assist for the Hoyas as well while Lily Jamison and Colleen Maloney were both credited with assists.
- In goal, Bailey Tietz (1-0) made her first start of the season against the Sharks and earned five saves in the win, all coming in the second half. She also had three saves in her first action of the year against Villanova.
- On the year, Towne leads the Hoyas with three goals and two assists for eight points while Yodh has two goals and two assists for six points.

- Sophie Perschk leads UConn with seven goals and five assists for 19 points while Juul Sauer adds seven goals and three assists for 17 points. Both Madi Herb and Sol Simone have four goals and five assists for 13 points.
- Natalie McKenna has made all eight starts for UConn and has posted a 1.65 GAA to go with 34 saves and a .723 save percentage.
