WASHINGTON – Junior Henley Tippins was named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week and senior defender Erika Harwood was named BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the conference on Monday. GU went 2-0 in BIG EAST action last week securing a 5-0 win over Seton Hall on Thursday and a 3-1 win over UConn on Sunday.

• Tippins was sensational in a 2-0 week for Georgetown scoring two goals against Seton Hall in GU's 5-0 victory.
• The junior then added an assist in the Hoyas' 3-1 victory over UConn on Sunday.
• This is Tippins' first conference honor of the season.

 
Erika Harwood | Sr. | D | Alexandria, Va. | Defensive Player of the Week

• Harwood had a fantastic week for GU playing all 180 minutes in the Hoyas' two contests.
• The Alexandria, Virginia native tallied an assist against UConn marking her first point of the season.
• Harwood has started and played in all eight of GU's shutouts this season, a mark that ranks second nationally.
