WASHINGTON – The No. 23 Georgetown University women's soccer team is set to host No. 20 Pepperdine on Thursday, September 5. Kickoff is slated for 4 p.m. at Shaw Field on the campus of Georgetown University.

ABOUT THE HOYAS
- Georgetown is 3-0-1 on the season after a dominant 6-0 victory over Lafayette on Sunday.
- Maja Lardner was named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week after scoring two goals and adding an assist against the Leopards. This is Lardner's second multi-goal game of the season as she also put two in against Sacred Heart. The senior earned a nod to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll last week for her performances in a 2-0 week for GU.
- Claire Manning was named the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week on Monday after playing a pivotal role in the Hoyas victory on Sunday. The senior was part of a defensive unit that held Lafayette to just three shots as GU cruised to its fourth shutout of the season. Manning also chipped in a career-high two assists in the Hoyas lone game of the week.
- Jocelyn Lohmeyer was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week after scoring two goals on Sunday. The freshman scored her first collegiate goal just before the half and slotted home her second of the contest in the 77th minute.
- Six different Hoyas tallied an assist on Sunday. Both Manning and Lizzie Heller recorded two assists on the day. The duo of Heller and Manning leads the team in assists with three each.
- Through four games this season, Georgetown is tied for the national lead in goals against average (0.00), save percentage (1.000) and shutout percentage (1.000). GU is one of four teams in the country that has not conceded a goal this season.
ABOUT NO. 20 PEPPERDINE
- Pepperdine enters Thursday's contest with a 3-2-1 record. On Sunday, the Waves defeated No. 3 UCLA 1-0 in Malibu, California. This was the Waves first time in three years beating a top-five team.
- Julia Quinonez and Tori Waldeck lead the Wave offense with four points each on the season. Waldeck leads the team in goals with two to her credit while Quinonez is tied for the team lead in assists with two.
- Jillian Medvecky and Taylor Rath have split time in goal for Pepperdine. Medvecky leads the team in GAA with a 0.86 in 315 minutes of action while Rath boasts a 2.40 GAA in 225 minutes between the pipes.
