Georgetown Swimming & Diving Take On George Washington

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University men's and women's swimming & diving teams are back in action as they host crosstown rival George Washington on Saturday, January 18. The meet will begin at 11 a.m. 

ABOUT THE HOYAS
  • The men's team remains undefeated in dual meets while the women are 3-2 on the season. 
  • After defeating Johns Hopkins, Angelica Reali was named BIG EAST Female Athlete of the Week while Owen Watkins was named BIG EAST Male Athlete of the Week on November 11 for their performances against the Blue Jays. Reali broke a school and pool record with a first-place finish in the 200 fly (2:00.36). Watkins helped the Hoyas set a pool record with a first-place finish in the 200 medley relay (1:29.56) along with Ryan Mathis, Bailey De Luise and Troy Keen. The freshman also earned first place and set McCarthy Pool records in the 50 free (20.54) and 100 free (45.28). 
  • Junior Bailey De Luise was named BIG EAST Male Athlete of the Week on November 4 for his performance against NJIT. De Luise helped the men win in the 400 medley relay with Ryan Mathis, Troy Keen and Owen Watkins with a time of 3:26.88. The Virginia native also placed first in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:07.60 and the 100 breaststroke with a time of 56.13.
