WASHINGTON - After picking up a singles win against Old Dominion on Friday,
Jake Fellows was named the BIG EAST Men's Singles Player of the Week for the fourth time in his collegiate career.
On Friday, January 17, Fellows defeated Old Dominion's Connor Van Schalkwyk 6-3, 3-6, 1-0 in GU's first spring season match. This marks the fourth time in his collegiate career that Fellows has earned BIG EAST Men's Singles Player of the Week.
Fellows is the reigning BIG EAST Player of the Year after going 20-2 in singles matches a year ago. With the win, Fellows extends his winning streak in singles matches to 15 dating back to last season.
The men's team will return to the District on Friday, January 24 for a road match-up with the Howard Bison. The match is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
