Late Touchdown Secures Win Over Colgate

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown football team used a late rushing touchdown from quarterback Dez Thomas II to secure the 21-17 victory over Colgate in Patriot League action on Cooper Field on Saturday afternoon. With the win, the Hoyas improve to 4-3 overall and 1-1 in league play, while Colgate drops to 2-5 overall and 1-2 in the Patriot League.

ON THE RECORD
"It was awesome to play in front of all of the Georgetown families on Family Weekend. All of these Patriot League games seem to come down to four or five plays in the last series, so I'm proud of this team, they're very resilient. We talk about SISU and how we do things, and we weren't the smartest at the end but we were able to come up with a quality victory against a good Patriot League opponent. We'll enjoy this one tonight and will start preparing for Bucknell on the road next week." - Head Coach Rob Sgarlata
